At Luthercare, we’re proud to support people at every stage of life, which is why this week, we’d like to highlight the work of someone caring for our youngest. Nicole Finefrock is a teacher in one of our Pre-K counts classes at Luthercare for Kids. She teaches a curriculum that involves a mix of activities tailored to the developmental needs of infants to school-age children. Focuses include social, emotional, physical, language, and problem-solving skills, as well as education in basic literacy, math, science, history, and arts. In addition to the core curriculum, children at Luthercare for Kids Early Learning Centers are encouraged to learn through play, “singing songs, playing games, and laughing with the children” are just some of the things Nicole mentioned as her favorite day-to-day activities. Nicole also takes pride in facilitating an environment where the kids can learn and grow. “Children spend a lot of time at the center and in the classroom. It is very important that they feel safe and loved. I love being able to provide them with a safe classroom that allows them to learn through play,” she says.
Thank you, Nicole, for helping to shape the next generation!
