Today, Governor Tom Wolf added Lancaster County to the list of counties with a Stay At Home Order. Two of our communities – Luther Acres and St. John’s Herr Estate – are located in Lancaster County, PA.
This means that effective at 8 p.m. tonight, residents at Luther Acres and St. John’s Herr Estate may leave their residence only to perform allowable individual activities and allowable essential travel. Those activities include obtaining medicine and medical supplies, visiting a healthcare professional, or getting necessary supplies such as grocery items. Engaging in outdoor activity, such as walking, is permitted. However, please remember that social distancing of at least 6 feet must be maintained at all times. The Coronavirus is highly transmittable, so in order to stop the transmission of the virus, individuals must have little to no contact with others.
Under this order, essential Luthercare team members are still permitted to report to work to care for our residents.
Residents on campus may continue to order meals, snacks and groceries items from our dining team for delivery or take out. Visitors continue to be restricted to all campuses, and we have posted signs at entrances to remind the public not to visit or use the communities for recreation.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
