As news regarding coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to dominate the headlines, Luthercare has been consulting with our medical directors and reviewing information from the Pennsylvania Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control. While there is no immediate concern for our area of service, we are closely monitoring the situation. At this time, we are advising our residents, families, team members and visitors to continue to take proper precautions, including frequent, proper hand-washing; covering coughs and sneezes with your elbow; and refrain from touching the face, specifically eyes, nose and mouth.
In addition, we will follow the procedures and directions that are issued to us from the state Department of Health and will provide updates to our team members, residents and families as more information is shared with us.
“At this point in time, we are being proactive and cautious to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents, families, team members and the community,” said Luthercare President and CEO Carl R. McAloose.
