We’re pleased to announce a significant leadership transition. Marissa Picchini, the current Chief Financial Officer, has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1, 2024. She succeeds Carl McAloose, who will retire on June 30 after a distinguished 16-year tenure. Carl McAloose has been instrumental in guiding Luthercare through periods of significant growth and development. Under his leadership, Luthercare has enhanced its facilities and expanded its services, significantly improving the quality of life for its residents and setting high standards in senior care. Carl expressed his confidence in Marissa’s abilities, stating, “It has been a privilege to lead such a remarkable organization. I am confident that Marissa is the right person to build on this legacy. Her strategic vision and proven leadership are what Luthercare needs as it continues to innovate and serve our community.”
Marissa Picchini joined Luthercare in 2020 and has since played a pivotal role in navigating the organization through challenging financial landscapes while spearheading significant technological advancements. Her efforts have strengthened Luthercare’s position for future growth and sustainability.
“I am deeply honored and excited to assume the role of CEO at Luthercare at this pivotal time in our history. As we look forward, my commitment is to drive innovation and growth while continuing to elevate the quality of service and care we provide to our community. I am dedicated to building upon the strong foundation laid during Carl’s tenure, and I look forward to leading our team towards new achievements. Together, we will explore fresh opportunities, enhance our capabilities, and expand our reach, ensuring Luthercare remains a leader in enriching the lives of everyone we serve.”
The decision to appoint Marissa Picchini as the next CEO of Luthercare was reached following a thorough and deliberate selection process conducted by a Search Committee comprised of members of the Board of Directors and The Deffet Group, a national executive search firm. The board sought a candidate who not only demonstrated exceptional leadership capabilities but also shared a deep commitment to the mission and values of Luthercare.
“Selecting a new leader for Luthercare was a decision we approached with a great sense of responsibility,” stated Stuart Smith, Chair of the Luthercare Board of Directors. “After a comprehensive review of Marissa’s accomplishments within the organization, her strategic vision for the future, and her unwavering commitment to our community, it became clear that she possesses the unique blend of skills and experience required to lead Luthercare into its next chapter.”
The unanimous support from the Board of Directors reflects their confidence that Marissa Picchini is the best choice to guide Luthercare towards a future marked by innovative care, community integration, and enhanced service quality.
