Luthercare continues to see success from COVID-19 vaccinations in our communities. We currently have no cases of COVID-19 among residents or team members.
In community news, the Spang Crest Healthcare Center next week will return to regular in-room visitation by assigned day. This will continue for two weeks, and then will move to routine pre-pandemic visitation. Visitors must register and complete the basic health screening questions in the lobby kiosk prior to visiting.
At Luther Acres, visitations in Personal Care and the Healthcare Center continue with in-room visits without the need to schedule first. Visitors must register and complete the basic health screening questions in the kiosks at the entrance to the Muhlenberg and Healthcare Center buildings prior to visiting.
The continuity of these changes at our campuses will be based on the absence of COVID-19 cases among residents and team members.
Luthercare strongly recommends that all visitors who are eligible to receive the vaccine do so, as it is the best way to protect yourself and your loved ones from contracting the virus. If someone has not received the vaccine and still wants to visit, they will be asked to wear a mask and maintain an appropriate amount of social distance during the visit. The safest place to visit with your loved one is still outdoors.
In partnership with Phoebe Pharmacy, Luthercare is continuing to hold regular on-site vaccination clinics for new residents and newly hired team members, as well as current residents and staff now wishing to be inoculated. Spang Crest is holding a clinic today, and Luther Acres will offer one on Wednesday, June 23.
