Today, Lancaster County moved into the state’s “green phase” of reopening, further easing COVID-19 mitigation strategies. As this occurs, Luther Acres in Lititz and St. John’s Herr Estate in Columbia are taking careful steps to begin easing restrictions on a number of our Independent Living services, such as hair care and dining options. This information will be shared with residents through virtual town hall presentations, printed material and posted reminders.
Social distancing and universal mask wearing when in common areas remain in place. We urge residents and their families to continue to be vigilant and take all proper precautions as restrictions begin to ease around us. The population we serve are the most vulnerable to viruses such as COVID-19.
In regards to visitation, guidelines for visiting Independent Living residents remain unchanged from the “yellow phase,” and can be found here: https://bit.ly/2A5NYkK. The ongoing restrictions for our Personal Care and Healthcare Centers will remain in accordance with guidelines from the state Departments of Health and Human Services and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Lebanon County remains in the state’s “yellow phase,” and all visitation restrictions continue to apply at Spang Crest in Lebanon.
