Residents of Luther Acres, the Luthercare community in Lititz, have been working for months to prepare items for the upcoming Annual Holiday Bazaar. Please plan to join us for two fun days of shopping! This year, the event will be held on Friday, November 22, and Saturday, November 23. The doors of the Community Room, in the Towne Center at 250 St. Luke Drive, Lititz, will open on Friday evening at 6:00 p.m. and close at 8:00 p.m. On Saturday, sales will begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at 1:00 p.m. Shoppers will be able to pay for their purchases via cash or check at each section of the Bazaar or take a slip(s) to the credit card cashier to pay for their purchases there.
The sale will again feature outside vendors selling a variety of items, including pottery, handcrafted cards, watercolor art, Christmas items, jewelry, hand-carved decoys and shore birds, gourd art, quilling, wooden signs and toys, quilted runners, hand-beaded elegant purses, and woodwork items. There will also be a silent auction featuring many special items that you never knew you needed!
Preparing for the sale takes a lot of planning, organizing and coordinating on behalf of the Luther Acres residents! The Bazaar will feature an array of donated jewelry for sale, as well as many crafts, including knitted and crocheted items. There will also be many delicious baked goods – from home-baked cakes and cookies to candy and other goodies – for sale in the Pub, located across the hall on Luther Acres’ “Main Street” of the Towne Center. Baked goods from Luther Acres residents frequently sell out before the end of the Bazaar, so many customers have learned to buy early.
The Luther Acres General Store, located within the Towne Center, will also be opening during the Bazaar hours to add to your shopping pleasure or to grab a snack or beverage.
Please come and support this fund-raising event which enables the Residents’ Council to fulfill its commitment to some very worthwhile causes. The majority of the funds will be directed toward the Luthercare Caring Fund.
In conjunction with the Bazaar, you can enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast in Katy’s Grill in the Towne Center, from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday, November 23. Hosted by the Friends of Luther Acres, the breakfast features pancakes, sausage and juice for $5.
